A nurse places a dying baby next to her twin for a final goodbye, then the world witnessed a miraclee

very moving🙏❤

Isn’t it fascinating how much we are influenced by another person’s presence? I’m sure many have felt calm and safe simply by being around certain people.

You might not believe it, but it might even save a life. In fact, the story I am about to tell you proves how strong the power between certain people can be.

A nurse made history when she defied the rules and placed a newborn baby beside her dying twin in hospital. And this act happened to save the little girl’s life. SHARE TWEET

It all started when twin sisters Kyrie and Brielle Jackson were born in a hospital in Massachusetts on October 17, 1995. But they didn’t have the easiest start in life. When they came into the world 12 weeks prematurely, the twins weighed just one kilogram each.

The twins have been placed in separate incubators. Kyrie’s condition quickly improved and she gained weight after she was born, but twin sister Brielle struggled much more. She was screaming and crying a lot, had trouble breathing, and had a blue face.

After a few days, Brielle’s condition worsened. A nurse in the intensive care unit, Gayle Kasparian, did everything to try to help her. She lifted it and held it. She let her dad hold her. She wrapped her up in a blanket. She wiped mucus from her nose and tried to comfort her. Nothing has worked.

Gayle then remembered something she had heard once in Europe. It was really against policy and hospital rules, but Gayle was so heartbroken that she decided to give it a chance. She placed baby Brielle in the same incubator as her twin sister Kyrie. Almost immediately, Brielle snuggled closer to Kyrie.

Brielle’s horribly bad condition skyrocketed. She began to breathe more easily. Her incessant crying stopped, and she soon regained a healthy color. Over the next few weeks, Brielle’s condition improved steadily. As long as she was lying next to Kyrie.

A photographer from a local newspaper captured a very special moment shared between the twin sisters — a photo that would be iconic for years to come.

Together, the newborns navigated their difficult start to life. They grew up to be healthy preschool children. The photo of the twins kissing in the incubator had received major media attention.

The image then spread like wildfire on the Internet and even ended up on the cover of Life and Reader’s Digest. Media attention on parents Heidi and Paul Jackson grew so big that at one point they changed their phone numbers. Absolutely everyone wanted to follow the twins’ development.

It was the first time the hospital had attempted such a thing, and Gayle Kasparian was praised for her common sense, which helped save the little girl. Of course, twins shouldn’t be separated, Gayle thought. Exactly!

The event changed hospital guidelines on twin births and clinical studies have shown that there are clear health benefits of placing twins in the same bed. The famous hug has helped save lives and changed the way you treat premature twins. https://www.youtube.com/embed/0YwT_Gx49os?feature=oembed

Imagine if the nurse didn’t try to do that? Brielle would probably not have been alive today. We must dare to test things and believe in the unthinkable!

This story has warmed my heart and brought me a lot of hope. Please share it with others to help them believe that miracles really can happen.
